Beautiful hardwood timber from southeast Asia, characterised by diversity of colours ranging from warm yellow, through shades of red to dark brown, frequently with single black streaks.
With time, teak tends to change its natural colour to dark brown.
Teak is resistant to water and for this reason it is frequently used for the construction of outdoor structures such as swimming pool edges, terraces or garden bridges.
Teak parquet flooring is very stable and is characterised by exceptionally long period of hygroscopic stability. For these reasons it is frequently used in bathrooms and kitchens.
Machining is moderately difficult, but special tools are needed.
